3 Fall Looks You’ll Want in Your Rotation This Season
Every fall, there’s one thing you can be sure of: the arrival of new looks. From patterned dresses to denim jackets to knee-high boots—and everything in between—there are a lot of new pieces to discover. And a lot to try on. And a lot to add to your rotation.

At the same time, you know you don’t want to go overboard. Too
much. It’s an exciting time, to be sure. To help you find a little
inspo this fall, and as this season’s lookbooks come to life, it’s time
to take a look at a few fall fits you just might want to check out this
season. So, before you start online shopping dresses, tops, jackets, and everything else, here’s what you aren’t going to want to miss.
Dresses in a Subdued Color Palette
Going into fall, it’s not uncommon to shift to warmer or earthier tones
throughout your wardrobe. You’ll probably notice a trend to more
subdued hues as new styles arrive. They may be more toned down, but
there’s a lightness or airiness to them. One color that’s getting a lot
of attention is rust. Rust can be anything from a pale reddish-brown to a
khaki with a red hue to a more vibrant yet slightly washed-out shade of
red. Rust dresses
are a great way to add a gentle pop of color to your look while
embracing a fall palette. Rust dresses pair beautifully with brown
jackets and boots and just about any shade of blue denim jacket. Finish
the look with a cowboy-inspired hat, and you have a fall 2022 look
you’ll want to keep going all season long.
Shorts with Oversized Tops
Here’s another look that’s getting a lot of attention this fall. It’s
the coming together of shorts and oversized, warm tops. While the
general look isn’t new, it’s getting renewed attention as new cardigans
and oversized sweaters arrive for the fall. Pair a large sweater
cardigan with dress shorts
for the perfect look for running around town or working at the office.
Go with an oversized sweater or pullover over denim shorts. Depending on
where you live, it’s easy to get away with shorts and an oversized top
for several weeks going into fall. You might even get away with it all
fall long! But if temperatures aren’t cooperating with this look, it’s
easy enough to swap out the shorts for paperbag waist pants, leggings,
or maxi skirts. It’s a look that offers a lot of mix-and-match
possibilities—and that’s why it’s a fall look worth adding to your
rotation.
Paperbag Waist Pants and Wide Legs
You’re probably starting to notice a little bit of a pattern here when
it comes to comfort. Shorts with oversized tops? That’s a look that puts
comfort front and center—while still looking great in the process.
Another comfortable look garnering a lot of attention—and can make a lot
of sense in your rotation—is paperbag waist pants with wide legs. These
bottoms have an airiness to them. They flow and move with you. And
they’re comfortable. They make great additions to your professional
wardrobe as well as your casual ensembles. And they pair with all kinds
of tops, like knit cardigans and oversized sweaters. So, not only is
this fall all about comfort, but it’s also about versatility.
